Chronotron is a puzzle platformer about a robot that goes back in time for some reason. His best friend is a talking pie! Use your time machine to interact with past versions of yourself in order to each your goal.
Gameplay[]
Each level contains a puzzle that must be solved by interacting with past versions of yourself. The game records your movements. When you use the Time Pod to travel back to the beginning of the level, you see a past version of yourself doing exactly what you did before entering the pod. You can create as many copies of yourself as you need to solve the puzzle, but be careful not to change the past too much. If you interfere with a past self’s ability to return to the Time Pod, you cause a paradox.
On each level, you have a time pod that can bring your robot back to the time you started the level. The goal on each level is to collect the Skip circuit board so your time pod can be repaired and let you escape the level. Unfortunately for your robot, the levels are designed in a way that makes it impossible for you to collect the pieces on your own. However, since your time pod is still semi-functional, you can just go back in time to help yourself. Once your time pod is fully functional, every version of the robot needs to be able to get back to the time machine. On most levels, it is possible to change the past in a way such that an earlier version of the robot can't reach the time pod, thus creating a time paradox and failing the level. If you do minor errors on a level, you have a rewind function which let's you redo the actions of your latest robot version while still keeping the actions of all the other robot versions.
There are 5 difficulty categories with 7 levels in each category; Easy, Basic, Medium, Hard and Impossible. In addition, you can unlock 5 bonus levels that are only available when playing from Kongregate.com.
