Run 3 is a game developed by Player 03 and released in 2014. It is the sequel to Run and Run 2. It also has a mobile app on the App Store and Google Play, which is called simply 'Run' as it is the first game in the series released on mobile, leading to confusion with the web-exclusive first game in the series, Run.
In Run 3, you play as a small gray alien running through tunnels in space. There are 309 levels so far in Explore Mode, and two minigames. Ten different characters are available, and they each have different abilities. These include both the Runner and the Skater from the previous games, and several of the costumes from Run, which now have been given unique features. There are nearly 100 achievements that can be earned in-game. Most require playing levels in different ways to usual, while some reward progress through the levels.
Similar to the original Run, there is also an Infinite Mode, though unlike Run, the levels are pre-determined and played in succession in a random order. The levels simply repeat if you travel far enough, so there's no way to win. Instead, the aim is to finish as many levels in a row as possible. The main purpose of this mode is to collect the in-game currency, power cells, which can be used to buy characters and upgrades in the shop.
Run 3 is still being updated. While the last update was in August 2018, Player 03 is still working on new features, as shown in his development livestreams. The game is in the process of being converted to HTML5.
