Hey, I edited this page for a reason, that you probably won't believe.
You see, this is one of the older badges on the site, and I'm one of the older members. One day, I was sitting around playing, and Greg popped into the room Barrens Chat. He said that he was having a hard time coming up with a name for the next challenge. He told us the objective, then asked advice on what to name it.
I, Rythoka, offered the notion of reducing the required kills to 300 and naming it so. Another member of the chat room, whose name escapes me, offered the simple "Slaughterhouse." Greg didn't want to make the challenge 200 kills easier, so he kept both notions, and named the challenge Slaughterhouse 500.
